My 6-Item Summer Minimalist Wardrobe

Minimalistic fashion on a tropical island — my simple yet chic wardrobe

Brought a lot of clothes to the island that I haven’t worn, like skirts, dresses, and shorts. But in sunny and buggy areas, I stick with long sleeves and pants. My sandals and flip flops are useless here. Although some situations may require outfits I usually wouldn’t wear, like at the airport or in heavy rain.

Item 1

Just got my first clothing item and wasn’t sure about the color choice but it turned out to be so versatile! Definitely a go-to for any cute photo shoots.

Item 2

Even though my denim jeans have been worn for almost two years, the waist is a bit loose but still so comfortable and soft. Apparently it’s made from a heavenly silk-like material, I’ll definitely be repurchasing this same material for my next denim purchase.

Item 3

Buckle sandals may not be the prettiest, but oh so comfy. Thick soles & adjustable straps. Been wearing mine for almost 2 years, worn out soles & all, but can’t find a better replacement.

Item 4

Bought these pink joggers on sale last September but found them hard to style with black for fall. Thankfully they’re perfect for summer and the waterproof material allows for cinched-up ankle cuffs.

Item 5

This pair of ice-silk long pants is so durable! After wearing it for a year, it still hasn’t loosened or frayed. It stays cool and even repels mosquitoes! If I decide to repurchase, I’ll definitely get it in other colors too.

Item 6

Just bought a trumpet sleeve sun protection shirt before my vacation! The quality is average but it’s breathable and pairs well with a colorful tank top. No more sticky feeling in the sun!

Note to self: Mosquitoes never fail to find you, inside or outside, but they seem to love attacking when you wear a skirt! Don’t limit your outfit choices though, long pants and sleeves can be just as stylish and practical, protecting you from those pesky bugs and the sun!
